Step 2: VeriMe PARTNER PROGRAM Launch

We are pleased to share that VeriMe has completed its internal proof-of-concept system!

Our next step is to work with partner organizations to explore privacy-first identity verification workflows. Our goal is to test our APIs and the privacy-first information that we exchange, ensuring that our services fit community needs. Through the Partner Program, we expect to showcase researcher-managed identity credentials in diverse research workflows, such as research facilities, funding, data centers, and research dissemination.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a researcher-centric cooperative infrastructure. We value working with innovative partners with a strong mission focus who also prioritize researcher experience as well as community benefit.

We have built upon our cooperative governance structure to add policies on privacy, cookie use and terms of use and a governance user interface for voting, meetings, and documentation.

And we have implemented VeriMe privacy-first design principles in our technical stack, identifying and testing a global-scale third-party provider for identity document verification and privacy-first account features including sign-on, multi-factor authentication, external account linkages, and account sharing controls.

The Partner Program will kick off in August, with 3 monthly calls leading up to the public launch of the VeriMe identity verification service platform. Partner organizations will benefit from:

  • Early access to a next-generation method of identity-proofing without the burden and risk of managing and storing sensitive personal information (PII)

  • Direct influence over the design of our API and subscriber services, including schema, API calls, verification questions, and service levels.

  • A discount on the first year of your subscription.

  • Ability to directly influence the population of researcher early adopters to the platform

  • Promotion of your integration in our platform’s public launch and collaboration

  • opportunities on our launch communications campaigns.

  • Eligibility to be nominated for the Subscriber VeriMe Board seat.

We’ve posted more information about the Partner Program here. Please get in touch by 25 July to participate!
